Privacy Policy

PartVault ("PartVault", "we", "us") is an inventory and listing tool operated by Discount Trading (Australia). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the PartVault web and mobile applications and related services.

Who this policy is for

PartVault is a business tool used by sellers and their staff to catalogue stock and create listings on marketplaces such as eBay. If you are a buyer who purchased an item listed via PartVault, your relationship is with the seller and the marketplace, not with PartVault.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and name, used to sign you in and identify your activity.
• Inventory data — details you enter about stock items (titles, descriptions, categories, prices, costs, photos, SKUs, and related vehicle/source records).
• Marketplace data — when you connect an eBay account, we access listing, order, and account information through eBay's APIs solely to provide the service (for example, to create listings and reconcile your inventory).
• Usage records — an activity log of actions taken in the app (such as adding, editing, or removing items) for auditing and accountability within your store.
• Technical data — standard information such as session tokens stored in your browser to keep you logged in.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the PartVault service — capturing stock, generating SKUs, and creating and managing marketplace listings.
• To connect to and exchange data with eBay on your behalf, at your direction.
• To maintain a per-store activity log so account owners can see who did what.
• To secure the service and enforce per-user permissions.

eBay data

Where you connect an eBay account, PartVault accesses and stores eBay data only to deliver the features you use, and handles that data in accordance with eBay's API License Agreement and applicable marketplace requirements. We do not use eBay data for any purpose unrelated to providing the service to you, and we do not sell it.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored using Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL platform) and served via reputable cloud hosting providers. Access is restricted by authentication and row-level security so that users can only access data for stores they are a member of. Connection credentials (such as marketplace tokens) are held securely server-side.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• with marketplaces (e.g. eBay) as needed to create and manage your listings, at your direction;
• with infrastructure providers that operate the service on our behalf (such as our database and hosting providers), under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing obligations;
• where required by law.

Data retention

We retain your account and inventory data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your data as described below, subject to any records we must keep to meet legal or marketplace obligations.

Your choices and rights

• You can access and update most of your information directly in the app.
• You can disconnect a connected eBay account at any time from the app's settings.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

Children

PartVault is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
